The brutalist icons attract a growing international following. The problem is that many objects are hidden away in the neighbourhoods. Basel Tourism and HEARTBRUT have teamed up to make it easier for tourists and locals to explore the buildings. The result is Switzerland&#8217;s first brutalist (e-)bike tour.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">This easy tour through the city centre and along the Rhine takes in seven outstanding icons of concrete modernism. The one-hour loop starts at <strong><span style=\"color: #6440db;\">Markthalle<\/span><\/strong> (Market Hall) next to Basel\u2019s SBB railway station and takes in <span style=\"color: #6440db;\"><strong>St Anthony Church<\/strong><\/span> (1927) and the <span style=\"color: #6440db;\"><strong>University Library<\/strong><\/span> (1968). On the other side of the Rhine, the tour continues to <span style=\"color: #6440db;\"><strong>Erlenmatt Silo<\/strong><\/span> (1912) and <span style=\"color: #6440db;\"><strong>Masonry Hall<\/strong><\/span> (1961). After a detour to <span style=\"color: #6440db;\"><strong>Turbinenhalle<\/strong><\/span> power plant (1954) in Birsfelden, it returns to the city centre and visits <span style=\"color: #6440db;\"><strong>Theater Basel<\/strong><\/span> (1975).
