Ah, bella Italia 🇮🇹
It all started in December with a trip to Seregno to see my favourite female footballer play. The experience was so high drama, I wanted more. So, I booked a trip to see her play in Rome. Nope, I haven’t gone mad. I’m simply photo opp-maxxing. The football stadium happens to be right next to the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana. Then, there’s the Pantheon, the Roman übermother of all concrete beauties. There’s Via Veneto, the birthplace of the paparazzo. The list goes on. In fact, I would be mad to let this opportunity slip. The challenge is how fitting it all into a long weekend without dying from beauty overload.
I began training in January with fortnightly trips to Milan to improve my Italian and hone my football photography skills. On my last trip, I managed to bump into AS Roma Women at Milano Centrale station. So, yeah, I feel very ready for Rome!
This is on my 📸 to-do list:
- AS Roma Women – Fiorentina Women at Stadio Tre Fontane
- The Pantheon, Colosseum and other Roman Concrete icons
- A date with a proper brutalist beauty
- Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana / a fresh take on rationalism
- Honour paparazza culture and catching Roman sprezzatura
