This edition takes a look at iconic brutes from a fresh angle. What caught my eyes was nuance and personality: the folds on the wall of Basel-based Masonry Hall form a filigrane, concrete origami, or, turned upside down, unfold into a rocket. Autosilo Balestra car park in Lugano is a saw-toothed ode to the car age. Its London cousin, Welbeck, was demolished in 2019. And then, there’s La Tulipe in Geneva. Here’s a 70’s brute who is not afraid to show off his soft-pastel side.

BRUTALIST BEAUTIES EDITION 2

This six-piece set presents four brutalist icons from Geneva, Basle, Lugano and London. Printed on super strong and sturdy paper, the cards come with an exceptionally, sumptuous, soft-touch finish. The small-run edition appeals as a collector’s item and gift for all lovers of brutalist beauties. It is also available as signed and numbered art prints in size A3 (edition of 15) and 50 x 70 cm (edition of 5). A selection is currently presented at Print Matters! in Zurich. Through to 02.2020
