Carte Brute Zürich

Our folding map features 40 groundbreaking concrete icons from all over the canton of Zurich. Early works such as the Columned Hall of the National Museum (1898) meet modernist classics. Brutalist originals join contemporary béton brut reinterpretations by Herzog & de Meuron and Barozzi Veiga. Discover real gems of post-war site-specific art, such as a loop-themed brutalist playground. There are also new objects that combine bold design and climate awareness. Zurich’s most filigree concrete beauty – the elegantly curved Aula Rämibühl Auditorium – adorns the back in poster format.

Each object is featured with a picture. The legend lists key data – construction period, architects, location and nearest tram stop. An introduction in German and English adds additional insights. The map on the detachable cover provides easy navigation.
